In the first semester, students will study introductory topics in Indian public administration and ethical approaches to public services. The semester modules focus on social justice, social security measures, and the administrative framework for health, education, women, and marginalized communities. In the semester modules, classical and modern organizational theories, change management, institutional capacity building, governance reforms, and sustainable development are covered.
In the fourth semester, students will learn about social development processes, governance structures, administrative management, independent research, and governance challenges, with a focus on how to contribute to policy and institutional development. This semester, students will learn about the concept, scope, and administrative reforms; public sector institutions; and socio-economic transformation. The course modules focus on administration and management, integrating modern management and leadership, performance management, and an in-depth understanding of the constitutional framework, political institutions, processes, and civil society in shaping governance and public policy. The course curriculum focuses on the functions and challenges of law enforcement systems, accountability mechanisms, community policing, public order, and national security. Independent research project, analytical tools, public administration, research skills, and academic writing competence.
