UGC issues a warning against courses provided by EdTech platforms and international universities.

Today, the University Grants Commission (UGC) warned Indian students about enrolling in programs offered by institutions that work with non-compliant overseas universities.

“For the general public’s and all interested parties’ information, the University Grants Commission has notified the University Grants Commission (Academic Collaboration between Indian and Foreign Higher Education Institutions to offer Twinning Program, Joint Degree, Dual Degree Programs) Regulations, 2022 and University Grants Commission (Setting up and Operation of Campuses of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions in India) Regulations, 2023” following its exercise of the powers granted under the UGC Act, 1956 (as amended).
