Delhi: Due to “severe” air pollution, primary schools will be closed through November 10.
The Delhi administration declared on Sunday, November 5, that primary schools will remain closed in the city until November 10 due to the ongoing “severe” level of air pollution in the nation’s capital. This is in response to the city’s Sunday morning AQI reading of 410, which raised more concerns about the health of young people and the elderly.
The Delhi administration declared on Thursday that both government and private schools will be closed on Friday and Saturday. The government has declared that it would be extended for the next five days due to the worsening state of the air quality.
However, schools now have the option to offer online classes for grades 6 through 12.
