IIT Kanpur creates an Air Quality Monitoring Center of Excellence.

A sensor ambient air quality monitor network with 1,400 nodes will be installed across rural Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as part of the overall air quality monitoring using AMRIT project.

The CoE, which focuses on developing domestic low-cost sensor manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) skills to improve air quality across the nation’s urban and rural areas, is a step towards the Atma Nirbhar Bharat program, according to a press release by IITK.
